	Pre-~~scanning is the process that scans your program to identify variables, arrays and data to allocate memory. If you have a long program the pause can get very long.~~

	Extended Basic added two commands to turn the process off and on. With a bit of careful programming you can decrease the amount of time it takes to pre-scan your program. The idea is to turn off the pre-scan process when you don't need it and then turn it on when you do.
